I know what it feels like to fear weight gain and worry what everyone thinks of you. To think about food all the time and yet never feel satisfied, physically or emotionally.
One day I discovered the non-diet approach to health, which transformed the way I thought about weight, diet and body image.
I learned to eat without guilt or shame and to respect my body as it was meant to be (which was not thin!). This was hard work, but it was worth it. Now I help others learn to eat well and respect and care for their bodies with compassion.
I graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and completed my dietetic internship at the VA Greater Los Angeles to become a registered dietitian (RDN). I previously worked in a variety of clinical areas in addition to private practice, and I am a trained body image coach.
