    our services

And all you ended up with was more weight gained than you lost & a ton of anxiety around eating…

Or a raging pre-occupation with food and uncontrollable over-eating…

And you still don’t like your body…

If you have dieted and dieted and dieted…

What would your life be like if…

    I can help you

⚡ Eating was easy and enjoyable?

⚡ You enjoyed meals that felt good both physically and emotionally?

⚡ You ate as much as you needed, when you needed it, of food you actually liked (without a lot of guesswork, doubt, or guilt)?

⚡ You believed in your body’s ability to make good choices with eating and movement?

⚡ Food obsession was no longer a thing for you?

⚡ You felt proud about how well you fed yourself?

⚡ You had respect and appreciation for your body, rather than shame and disappointment?

⚡ You chose to move your body because you liked it and it felt good?

I created my signature 4-month program to help you find peace in eating & improve your body image so you can live the life you’ve always wanted.

    Food & Body Healing Beginnings

    REJECTing DIETING

A healthy relationship with food cannot be achieved when you are actively trying to change your body with restrictive diets. You will learn to challenge old diet and food rules and embrace true freedom with food.

My Food and Body Healing Beginnings program is built on five anti-diet pillars:

    ATTUNED EATING

You will get in touch with your built-in system of eating regulation that is based on hunger, fullness, satisfaction and preferences, not plate size or predetermined portions. You will rediscover your body’s craving for a diverse array of foods and learn to feed yourself with permission. Ultimately, you will develop a positive eating attitude that is about providing, not depriving.

    REDUCING SHAME

Diet culture teaches you to hate your body and distrust your ability to eat – both of which increase shame and decrease your ability to make positive change. We’ll work to reduce that shame and develop true body appreciation.

    BODY IMAGE RESILIENCE

You’ll increase your ability to bounce back from those bad body moments that are the driving force behind your desire to diet. We’ll work on reducing your need for external validation and move towards internally motivated confidence and values-based living.

    RECLAIMING MOVEMENT

It is your body’s birthright to move and movement is truly life-giving. You’ll reclaim movement from the diet culture that hijacked it from you in the first place.

After a thorough get-to-know-you session, we’ll work at your pace every other week over four months* to help you build a healthy, enjoyable, and sustainable relationship to food that you can feel good about. You will also begin to relate to your body in a new, more compassionate way.

This work is an investment in yourself and your future, and I’m taking clients who are ready to commit to their success. Let's talk for 30 minutes to make sure this is right for you!

Because every person is different, I use an individualized approach guided by these five pillars to help solve your unique eating and body image problems.

*While some clients find four months to be the perfect amount of time to do this work, many clients continue our work together beyond four months in a personalized continuation program at a special “continuing client” rate. My individualized approach goes at your pace at all times, which means some people simply need some more time to feel results.

The only insurance I am currently accepting is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. Please contact me to see how this program works for you.

I am also taking private pay clients who are willing and committed to investing directly into their health and well-being and have payment plans available.

I meet with everyone virtually through my client portal by Zoom. Appointments occur between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm Central time.

I have created a four-month program because through much experience, I’ve learned that this is the least amount of time needed to transform one’s relationship to food and body and will be enough for some people, but others may need more time with private coaching. Because coaching goes at your pace at all times, I never know how long each individual will need with 1:1 work, which is why I offer a flexible continuation program after the initial four months. Many of my most successful clients have worked with me from six months to a year. The time needed often depends on where you are starting with this process.

I can guarantee that I’ll give you my complete attention inside sessions; thorough email support in between sessions; all of my most effective tools; activities, handouts, and readings to inform and guide you; coaching to help you discover your motivations for change; goal-setting support and encouragement to meet those goals. Due to the nature of the coaching relationship, I can’t control what you do with the coaching and information provided. Clients who commit to doing the work as assigned, are ready to challenge unhelpful beliefs and behaviors, and give themselves the time they need are typically the most successful clients.

Much of the work you do in this program will be on your own, in between sessions. I assign homework in each session and it’s up to you to do your best with it. A person with a full-time job and family can typically manage the small amount of homework given but each person differs in what they are able to take on. Most homework is not very time-consuming and usually occurs alongside an already existing life-task (like eating!). A small amount of time is needed most days in between sessions for practicing what you’ve learned and committed to trying. Nothing changes without work and good self-care does require at least some time.

This is not a weight loss program and is not designed to create intentional weight loss (that is called a diet). Our focus will always be on bringing you to a peaceful relationship with food, which does not involve restriction. As weight is controlled by your individual biology, I cannot make any guarantees about weight.

As this program never focuses on weight, no guarantees can be made about maintaining weight loss, especially after a diet. Chances are, if it took a diet to get to a lower weight, it’s not a sustainable weight for you. This non-diet work allows you to move toward a more natural weight that’s right for your body (and we have no control over this number).

    frequently asked questions

    Do you accept insurance?

Because of the comprehensive nature and scope of this coaching program, I do not accept insurance which would limit the work we are able to do together. I am taking clients who are willing and committed to investing directly into their health and well-being. I do understand that this may not be a fit for everybody.

When & how do appointments happen?

I meet with everyone virtually through my client portal by Zoom. Appointments occur between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm Central time.

How long will this work take?

I have created a four-month program because through much experience, I’ve learned that this is the least amount of time needed to transform one’s relationship to food and body and will be enough for some people, but others may need more time with private coaching. I don’t have much time, do I need to do anything in between sessions?

Much of the work you do in this program will be on your own, in between sessions. I assign homework in each session and it’s up to you to do your best with it. A person with a full-time job and family can typically manage the small amount of homework given but each person differs in what they are able to take on. A small amount of time is needed most days in between sessions for practicing what you’ve learned and committed to trying. Will I lose weight with this program?

This is not a weight loss program and is not designed to create intentional weight loss (that is called a diet). Our focus will always be on bringing you to a peaceful relationship with food, which does not involve restriction. As weight is controlled by your individual biology, I cannot make any guarantees about weight.

I lost a lot of weight on a diet and now want to eat normally. Will this program help me maintain this weight loss?

As this program never focuses on weight, no guarantees can be made about maintaining weight loss, especially after a diet. Chances are, if it took a diet to get to a lower weight, it’s not a sustainable weight for you. This non-diet work allows you to move toward a more natural weight that’s right for your body (and we have no control over this number).

"I can honestly say that I have achieved a peace with my body I never thought attainable. I go to sleep at night feeling satisfied instead of sick from overeating because I’m anticipating new diet restrictions the following morning. I don’t record time in terms of expected weight loss, and I don’t worry that I’ll fail and dread yet another social event because I haven’t reached my goal weight. Now I focus on the idea that my body is the least interesting thing about me. I invest in this. Because of the work I’ve done with Glenys, I have the tools to live this."

    -Candace

"I went from obsessing over food constantly and perpetual restrict-and-binge cycles, to regularly eating foods that I like in a way that doesn’t dominate my life. I was afraid that without 'rules' all I would ever eat was macaroni and cheese and Oreos and never touch a vegetable again. It turns out that once I started practicing intuitive eating and ditching any restrictions whatsoever, I actually crave vegetables pretty regularly (who knew?!)… And I am just SO MUCH HAPPIER now."

    -Linda

"I just wanted to thank you for your work with me. You legit changed my life in so many wonderful ways I didn’t think were possible. No more binge eating; rocking bikinis; no more guilt and anxiety around food; practicing acceptance as I ease back into fitness; on and on. Mostly I feel a sense of peace and empowerment that is carrying over into so many areas of my life."

    -DM

“I think Glenys’ job description should be 'Dietitian/Sherlock Holmes!' She’s very talented in investigating and solving some mysteries in our complex and often perplexing relationships with food and body. What a confused relationship I had with food. Glenys helped me shed light on the grey, confusing, unseen blockages and issues. I feel so much more clarity and peace…and the bonus was the warmth, solar energy, and humor which helped me feel completely safe to share and dare to approach dark topics. I think the biggest thing I take away from our work together is the peace and the trust that it will be okay.”

    -Emma

“What I was going to eat consumed my thoughts the first half of my workday, every day. I had tons of competing food rules in my head from years of diets, periods of extreme restriction, and negative body image. Glenys helped me get back to feeding myself regularly and without anxiety. I can actually feel my body’s cues now and make food decisions without doing mental math about how it will impact my body size. I’m able to go about my day without falling into a shame spiral about how I look. Glenys helped me clear away some huge obstacles so that I feel ready to pursue other goals, both personally and professionally. If you are struggling with food or body image, working with Glenys can help you make space in your life for things that are actually important to you. You’re investing in a lot more than ‘just’ food and body issues. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and easy to connect with.”

    -Amy

“I wanted to thank you for all you have done to help me in this journey. I was just contemplating weighing myself and thought, ‘It doesn’t matter what I weigh. If you want to worry, worry about how you feel.’ It feels good to be getting stronger. You are so special and I appreciate you!”

    -SW

“Before working with Glenys, I didn’t understand the difference between a snack and a meal or recognize my hunger cues as a result of years of bouncing on and off diets and restricting my intake. With endless compassion, Glenys helped me understand what my body needed and that it’s okay to eat, that my body and mind are happy and function well when I’m feeding them foods I enjoy regularly. As I tried the tools Glenys and I discussed during our sessions, I started feeling better. When my old food norms came up, Glenys asked great questions to get to the root and help me find a new way that works for me. I love it. Invest the time and money in yourself and work with Glenys – you’re worth it!”
